SRX-515: Remote connection through a Web browser

From the Installation manual:

1. Install Firefox version 14 in PC. *Should also work in later Chrome versions*

2. Connect PC and a server (XCT-S10) through a network. Use a CTRL port of the server (XCT-S10).

*Use tunneling if connecting from a remote network*

3. Change the setting of Firefox. (Refer to “Changing the setting of Firefox”.)

4. Enter https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/EvansGUI/run.html in the address input bar of Firefox.

Enter the IP address of a server in xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. The login screen of this system is displayed.

 

Changing the setting of Firefox

1. Enter about:config in the address bar and press the [Enter] key.

2. Click the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button.

You can refine the search by entering part of the name you want to search in the search column.

3. Double-click “browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash” in the setting value list.

4. Check that the “true” changes to “false” in the Value and that the whole line changes to a bold face.

5. Double-click “browser.cache.disk.enable” in the setting value list.

6. Check that the “true” changes to “false” in the Value and that the whole line changes to a bold face.

7. Double-click “browser.cache.memory.enable” in the setting value list.

8. Check that the “true” changes to “false” in the Value and that the whole line changes to a bold face.

9. Double-click “browser.cache.offline.enable” in the setting value list.

10. Check that “true” changes to “false” in the Value and that the whole line changes to a bold face.

11. Double-click “dom.max_script_run_time” in the setting value list.

12. Type 30 in the box, and then click the [OK] button.

13. Check that 30 is displayed in Value and that the whole line changes to a bold face.

14. Terminate Firefox.
